Complete the dialogue taken from the movie Sleepless in Seattle with the past tense of the verbs between parenthesis.

A: How did (do) it happen?

B: It’s silly, really. I mean, I had seen him at the office. Obviously I had seen him. He was (be) the associate publisher. And then one day we both ordered (order) sandwiches from the same place, and he got (get) my lettuce and tomato on whole wheat, which, of course, he was (be) allergic to. A: How amazing.
